Stuart obtained his BA Human Movement Sciences degree from the Rand Afrikaans University in 2004 before completing an honours degree in Sport Science from the University of Johannesburg in 2005. He then further completed his studies with an honours degree in Biokinetics from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2006. After completing his internship in 2007 at the Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology in Johannesburg, as well as the NMMU Biokinetics and High Performance Centre in Port Elizabeth, he travelled to Switzerland and the United Kingdom to pursue his goal of playing top level sport while at the same time working as a biokineticist and sport scientist at various health studios and high performance centres in both Geneva and London between 2008-2010.
