Dr. Hooman Eshraghi is an Orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Eshraghi completed his undergraduate medical degree at the university of the Witwatersrand in 2005. He qualified as an Orthopaedic surgeon from Wits University in 2014. Following his graduation, he completed his Fellowship in Foot and Ankle surgery at the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Unit, in Johannesburg, under Professor Nikiforos Saragas and Dr. Paulo Ferrao.
He recently attended an observership in Minnesota, United states, with the world-renowned foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Chris Coetzee.
Dr. Eshraghi regularly attends local and international congresses, meetings and workshops to be able to offer the latest techniques and innovations to his patients.
His special interests include Foot and Ankle Sport injuries and reconstructive surgery, as well as Orthopaedic trauma.
Dr. Eshraghi has been involved with many sports teams for the past few years. He has been treating athletes from many PSL football clubs, including players from Kaizer Chiefs F.C. and Mamelodi Sundowns F.C.
Dr. Eshraghi is a member of South African Orthopaedic Association (SAOA) and South African Foot Surgeons Association (SAFSA).
He has been in private practice since 2015 and practises at Morningside Mediclinic and Netcare Waterfall Hospital.
